What you should know
What makes it different
Released in 2023, the nubia Z60 Ultra occupies the camera phones category for a specific reason. The nubia Z60 Ultra uses a fifth-generation under-display selfie camera to deliver a hole-free 6.8-inch screen. It pairs a relatively long 35mm-equivalent main lens with optical telephoto and ultra-wide cameras rather than a standard 24mm-first configuration.
Display, speed and day-to-day use
Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform and 6.8-inch 120Hz uninterrupted AMOLED display define the day-to-day experience. TechRadar appreciated the sustained Snapdragon performance and unusually large battery but disliked the selfie results and MyOS polish. The flush uninterrupted display is attractive for games, while the longer default main focal length may feel cramped indoors.
Cameras and limitations
The documented camera arrangement is 50MP 35mm main, 50MP ultra-wide and 64MP 85mm telephoto. The 246g body is hefty, and 80W wired charging does not compensate for missing wireless charging. The Malaysian ZTE listing describes a specific regional SKU; do not assume identical memory and supported bands elsewhere.
Battery and charging
The listed battery is 6,000mAh, with 80W wired, no wireless charging. For a second-hand purchase, check battery wear and whether the original charging adapter is included.
Software and security support
Independent reporting described roughly three years of software maintenance rather than modern seven-year support. Confirm current security eligibility and service network before committing in 2026. Confirm the current security patch and regional firmware eligibility before relying on it for daily banking or work.
Who should buy it in 2026?
Buy if: People valuing a notch-free screen, substantial battery and photographic focal-length options. Skip if: Frequent selfie/video-call users or shoppers wanting very long future software support. On used devices, condition and remaining support matter as much as the model name.
Alternatives and regional differences
OnePlus 12 for wireless charging; REDMAGIC 10 Pro for dedicated gaming. Regional note: No additional material variation documented in reviewed sources
